Eagles Landing Association Wins 2012 Florida Community of Excellence Award
Creative Mailbox & Sign Designs' client, Eagles Landing, earns 1st Place in the 2012 Florida Communities of Excellence Awards for their Florida-Friendly Landscaping and Signage Project
Clearwater, Fla. (April 2012) – As the first and only comprehensive, independent recognition program for tens of thousands of community associations throughout Florida, the Florida Communities of Excellence Award represents the peak of achievement for community associations in the state. Creative Mailbox & Sign Designs’ client, Eagles Landing, took 1st Place in the Florida-Friendly Landscaping (Small) category of the 2012 Florida Communities of Excellence Awards.
The Florida-Friendly Landscaping category recognizes one small community and one large community in the state for their focus on environmentally sound landscape, wetland, preserve, and lake management policies. Eagles Landing adopted Florida-Friendly landscaping practices when the deteriorated grass, plants and shrubs of this 30-year old community were replaced in 2011. The improvements follow all nine Florida-Friendly principles and have inspired homeowners to follow suit and re-landscape around their units.
Kent Stickler, Board Member for Eagles Landing in Clearwater, express his pride: “We are very proud of this as it represents one of the most significant achievements in the history of our community. A key factor for the award was our new signage. One of the judges specifically noted this.”
Creative Mailbox & Sign Designs designed, fabricated and installed two exterior illuminated monument signs welcoming guests at both community entrances. Each monument showcases the custom Eagles Landing logo and is of aluminum construction measuring 4ft H x 7ft W.
Creative is in the process of designing new signage to highlight the community’s recent award.
